Yummy and easy to make. Just one change I would make next time, the dipping soy sauce is better 1:1 broth.

I made this for an appetizer to take to a friend's house and it was fantastic. I also added sliced zucchini and the batter would work for sweet potatoes as well. It took some time and the only thing I would change is to sprinkle a little bit of kosher salt over the veggies once they're done, while still hot. Also, soy sauce is good for dipping but tempura dipping sauce is even better! :

My family enjoyed the green beans and asparagus. The next day I used the same recipe to fry green bell pepper rings. Served to a group of friends and everyone was in love with the ole bell pepper all over again! Thanks.

I thought this receipe was great. I made this as a side with turkey burgers last week instead of french fries. I didn't do the asparagus, only the green beans. I loved them! I'm going to try this on many other veggies. Thanks for the great receipe Giada! I did add a little seasoning to my batter to make it more tasty,

We made this last night. We had the smoker going with ribs, and we took the fryer outside and made these for the side. Mom dipped hers in hot sauce, I loved the soy sause with it. We also made onion rings along with the veggies. Very good, very easy. Keep cooking Giada.

We made this recipe right after seeing it on her show. I bought store brand club soda and had the rest already in my pantry. My husband is half Japanese and this would have made his mother proud. We used sliced sweet potato, cut fresh green beans, sliced onion. They were simply delicious. Most vegtables will work as long as they are not wet vegtables.
I will do it without the sesame oil, as it is unusual for Japanese Tempura to be made with it. It was very good though. Also, I made my own dipping sauce using fresh minced garlic, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce and a splash or two of water...fabulous...Thanks Giada for another wonderful recipe...
