I just made these tonight. The flavor was amazing but there was a lot of work involved for very little yield. I live in the Midwest and the artichokes here are sort of small. I think that is the difference. If you can get large artichokes then this recipe is definitely worth the effort since the flavor is 5 stars. I would definetely try these with canned artichokes making sure to dry them completely before grilling. The garlic, parsley, oil sauce is a winner.

Too much work without good results. Disappointing.

I don't care for artichokes because they taste very metallic to me. That being said, I thought the sauce was very yummy (thinking about using that with some green beans and my mom who is a huge artichoke fan, loved them. She did say though that without the dressing, they didn't have a lot of flavor so I would suggest making tons more of the dressing and using as a dip on the side.

I have made these twice now and they are really great. It is a bit time consuming to prep the artichokes, but the beauty of it is that they can be prepped ahead. Be sure to use the lemon juice water, they turn brown almost instantly so you have to work quickly to remove the choke. Cut and prep the artichokes one at a time so that you minimize turning brown. I have cooked these in my grill pan. They are wonderful at room temperature and they look beautiful. I am taking them to my next potluck!

This was one of the appetizers at a dinner party we went to last night and they were absolutely wonderful. She made them on a grill pan instead of the grill but these tasted and looked great.

Didn't have time to fire up the grill, so I just sauteed them in the pan until a bit browned with the olive oil, salt and pepper, and lemon juice. The best artichokes I have ever made or even had. Don't forget to put enough seasoning on or you will probably feel like they are missing something, as others have suggested. Our were fantastic.

We found that these were better once they sat for about 10 minutes with the drizzle on them. They had time to cool and absorb some of the flavors but still remained crisp from the grill. A must try! Too bad that artichokes can be expensive though.
