I used croissants instead of the puff pastry and it was delicious....I will make it with the puff pastry the next time

It's a nice quick meal. I've also added sauteed baby bella mushrooms. Big hit at home!

I really liked the flavors and textures of the creamy avocado and the crispy pastry, however the puff pastry itself is extremely buttery and greasy. If you make this, poke holes over the entire thing - more than you think you need! I didn't do this and the pastry was incredibly flaky and not in a good way. Next time I will use a different bread.

While this had a great taste, the puff pastry is incredibly high in calories and particularly fat. I would make this again but as a sandwich with some sort of different bread in lieu of the puff pastry. Also, the puff pastry makes it very messy to eat. The rest of the ingredients are a healthy combination.

The sandwich was delicious. I just made them for lunch for my husband and I. I followed the instructions exactly and my pastry stayed together perfectly. The point of poking the holes and stacking another baking sheet on top is to prevent rising and too much flaking and it worked great (for those of you complaining about it falling apart! The only thing I would do differently next time is add some lime zest to the mayo. I think the lime would really add a nice tanginess to the sandwich!

This was absolutely delicious! I have 2 suggestions: If you're in a hurry and don't have the time to make the puffed pasty, then use a pita instead. I've done this a few times now and it is still one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The mayo and avocado are the stars of this sandwich without a doubt! Also, make the mayo mixture first and then put it in the freezer so it gets nice and cold (but not frozen obviously!..the contrast of the warm juicy chicken with the cold mayo & avocado is out of this world!

Let me start by saying that I loved the flavor profile, everything was spot on and very tasty. This was a very good sandwich. They cayenne mayo is fantastic and the creamy avocado was perfect. However, I have to agree that the puff pastry was too messy. My husband was frustrated as soon as he set down to eat. I did stack them pretty high, but the pastry just crumbled at every bite. We gave up and just tried to eat the with a fork. I agree with the other suggestions of pita or bread here instead. I will make it again, but we will use something else to build the sandwich.

I love these sandwiches!! I usually am not a fan of mayo, but spicing it up made it great and added a little something extra.
