Great recipe! I usually like to marinate meat overnight but with this recipe I didn't have time so it only got about an hour to marinate and it was great. I used boneless skinless chicken thighs which probably helped.

I love a recipe that's packed with flavor and healthy. This fits the bill. The fennel seeds add so much flavor to the chicken, you can eat it without the sauce but don't. The sauce is amazing. Light and fresh. Goes well with grilled shrimp and scallops as well.

This grilled chicken recipe with the basil dressing is awesome! I've been making this chicken for the past year and decided to try basil dressing on top of tri tip and grilled shrimp...Yumm! My picky 5 year old will only eat meat if it is smothered in this dressing.

I didn't actually make the grilled chicken. I had some left-over roast chicken and also some basil left from having made pesto; I was looking for something to use the basil for. I saw this sauce and thought it would go well with the chicken; I was right!! It was not only good with the chicken but we also put it on the baked potato we made - wonderful!

The basil lemon sauce for this dish is outstanding! Next time I will marinate the chicken longer than 30 minutes - was in a hurry this time - but I WILL be making this dish again. As long as you will be using fresh basil - serve it with a tomato/mozzarella/basil salad - yum!

Wow! Awesome chicken. Marinade was really tasty - only marinaded it for 30 minutes. Delicious on the grill.

This was surprisingly good! i can't believe what a difference the fennel made. I'm not a fan of licorice, but this was amazing. The fennel was mellow, but added depth to the overall combination of flavors. Yum!

Excellent and easy recipe! I used a cast iron grill pan and finished it in the oven - Incredibly moist as promised - Must admit that I'm not a big fennel fan - Used fresh thyme instead - Also cut the chicken off the bone and used it in a stir-fry the next day with the rest of the basil sauce, red bell pepper. yellow summer squash and bermuda onion - Added a bit more fresh basil and lemon zest as garnish - Equally delicious!
