I saw Giada make this recipe on an old episode yesterday, a Saturday, and thought it'd make a great topping for the pancakes I promised my husband and son this morning. It was fab-u-lous! Amazing. You definitely won't miss maple syrup; this wonderful fruit concoction is all you need. My family literally bowed down to me and asked when I would make it again. I think the fruit-and-sugar mix might be too sweet on its own, but as a topping for pancakes, waffles or french toast, it's perfect!

This recipe is wonderful. I made it and everyone thought I was crazy but then it was the biggest hit on the table. No one could get enough!

There are many other tasty things you can do with fruit, with less effort. Too sweet, soggy, and my family and I did not enjoy it.

...for me. I'm not sure how you can buy over-ripe fruit, and then blame the recipe for being bad. Common sense indicates that fruit softens when you cook it, so you're better off buying firmer fruit to begin with. 2 thumbs up!

I tried this recipe for my Christmas gathering in my kitchen, it's not only delicious but also looks so pretty. Thanks to Giada for the recipe.

I had some guests coming over to grill out, I thought this would be great, not too filling, but it was gross, the fruit was way too mushy, we ended up getting in my freezer for ice cream.

But, next time I make it, I won't grill the fruit. My husband didn't like it.

Wonderful and very easy to make. Would be great with some vanilla ice cream on top.
