I made this dessert just as winter reared its ugly head again at home. No grill to use, so I marinated the peaches in the brandy/sugar mix and then put them in the oven after I pulled out my roast pork. Turned the oven off and let the peaches sit until I was ready to serve. The marscapone "sauce" was excellent and it was a nice simple dish to end the meal with. Used a Spanish Cava on the side instead of champagne or other sparkling wine. Got rave reviews. Will definitely make again!

Easy and good. My husband and I both agreed that there was too much alcohol, so depending on the dish served, would eliminate one or the other.

This recipe is actually the first time that I have had marscarpone cheese. After making it (which only took a minute or two I tasted it and my first thought was home-made ice cream, but without all the time and trouble. It was really great. My husband did not like the skins on the peaches so I peeled them and it work just as good.

Great dessert. Will satisfy sweet tooth. Goes better with dry white than medium- or sweet white wine.
