What a great sandwich!! My entire family LOVED this sandwich--so yummy!! This was our first time with Fontina cheese, and while it was good, we think another (cheaper cheese would work as well. I agree with others that the lemon-basil mayo made this sandwich! Amazing how much lemon zest can brighten everything up! I also think it was a bit hard to keep the pork in the sandwiches. We will probably leave them whole or cut them into bigger slices. Such a delicious sandwich though!!!

OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!!! I tried this yesterday and I have to say I was sooooooooo blown away by how delicious this sandwich was!!! The mayo was simply outrageous and the herbes de provence on the pork was amazing!!! This has already become a favorite and one I will make over and over and over again!!! Thanks Giada!!!!

This was so simple and fast to make. I used a griddler, like a panini press, to grill the pork and cut the cooking time in half. I used hoagie bread (because it's a pain to remember to get and use artisan bread and grilled it while the pork rested for a bit. The lemon-basil mayo is key to this sandwich and sooo easy.

My family enjoyed these sandwiches. Didn't have all the herbs for the herbes de provence, so I just used rosemary and thyme along with the pepper and kosher salt. The pork was still tasty. I especially liked the mayonaise spread with the basil and lemon juice. We had the sandwiches with lentil soup and Giada's red potatoe salad. It was a special meal. I got five stars from my family.

These were delicious! I had them with homemade tomato basil soup, not that it needed it!

Could not stop talking about how amazing this sandwich is the entire time we were eating. Had chicken on hand so we ended up substituting that for the pork. Turned out great with the herbs de provence, a combo I was a little unsure of. Will definitely be making this sandwich over and over.

This was amazing. I made my own herbes de provence, using rosemary, thyme, marjoram, and savory. It was perfect crushed on top of the pork. I buy Fontina cheese all the time. I get it at Sam's but I have seen it also at Walmart and 2 of our area grocery stores. Usually in the deli with other specialty cheeses. Not in the cheese dairy isle. It is a great snack by it self with almonds or apple slices.
The ciabatta bread was a big hit, we grilled it.

Our family loved everything about this sandwich and will definitely be making this again. This was our first time trying fontina cheese and it was a very nice choice, although easily substituted with any other mild cheese. The lemon mayo was a huge hit and now I make it regularly and use it on just about everything! The ciabatta bread was the perfect complement to the well seasoned pork. A bit tough to keep the pork slices in the sandwich, so we will probably keep them whole the next time. This was a very nice weekend sandwich that is hearty and rich in flavor but doesn't weigh you down. Thanks Giada!

This was suprisingly very good! I thought the pork would be very heavy for the sandwhich, but it was great. I used boneless thin cuts (two on a sandwhich It was my first time eating Herbs de Provence and fontina cheese I LOVED the cheese. The mayo was light and added great flavor. My fiance told me "this is excellent". I will definitely keep making this sandwhch for a quick and satisfying meal.

After watching Giada make this recipe, my daughter and I decided to give it a try. The mayo is amazing....lots of bite! Makes an enormous sandwich though! Enough for lunch tomorrow!
