Sauce is very tasty, I LOVE poblano peppers use them in everything now as they aren't too spicy..however maybe these were a bit hotter than usual or combined with the red pepper, but it quite spicy. I couldn't find Mexican oregano don't know if that would make a big difference.

This recipe is definitely a keeper! I halfed the recipe since it was only my husband and I! I stuck to the recipe except i added extra broth since my sauce was super thick. The flavors are amazing. I was afraid it was going to be to spicy but it was perfect. Since i used 10ounce ribeyes just served with a salad and it was plenty. I would suggest pairing this with a Malbec or Sangiovese! My husband could not stop talking about how delicious his dinner was tonight!

Hello last night I made the steak and poblano chile sauce for my dad and sister's birthday dinner and they loved it.

This was a wonderful recipe!! The steaks were perfect with a nice crust on the outside but still juicy and tender on the inside. The sauce was AMAZING!! The tomatoes gave it such a savory warmth and the poblanos offered a nice spicey kick! Loved it and will definitely be making it again. Thanks, Giada!

So I am unsure of this cooking technique...all the other food network chefs suggest steaks get to room temp before cooking. I tried Giada's technique and the steaks were still cold in the inside, not very appetizing. However, the tomato poblano sauce, AMAZING and perfectly spicy! I plan on making it with meatballs next time.

OMG !!!! I made the stake with cornstarch mix just less salt. this was just AMAZING!! I will do this to my stakes for now on. I did not do the Tomato and Publano sauce. I like to have fresh sweet peppers and onions lightly pan fryed. for my toping with cottage cheese. Need to try stake befor putting anything on it. cuz its really good on its own, but had made my stuff not knowing its habbit.

I made the steak on a George Foreman grill, and it was SO GOOD. I've never made a good steak (always under-seasoned, too dry, overcooked}, so I am very thankful for this recipe and cooking instruction. It was perfect.

I didn't make the steak as she did on show. I don't have gas range. So I used BBQ grill, to roast Poblano peppers and didn't want to waste charcoal. I added smoking chips and the flavor from smoke on rib eyes and Tomato Poblano sauce was fantastic! Family loved this, I am doing this one again and again.. I'll have to try corn starch rub, I am sure it is very good.

Cooking the steak with the corn starch rub is a simple tip but one that makes the whole difference in a amazing tasting steak. I didn't make the sauce to go with it because we like to enjoy our steaks without sauce.
