Easy, quick and tasty. My wife loved it! My first time cooking halibut and it came out great. The shallots were a bonus and a burst of flavor to the meal.

This is a very tasty dish and super easy. My whole family thought it was amazing. We were in Florida on vacation and I made this with Mahi Mahi since it was fresh there....turned out great!

This is a great recipe! The lemon butter really adds to the dish. We thought the shallots were terrific too and not too much effort. I served the fish with au gratin potatoes and frozen peas and the crunchy shallots mixed with the peas tasted delicious! We couldn't find fresh halibut fillets and had to use frozen, but it was still yummy--and easy!

Loved it, especially the lemon butter!
Don't tell anyone but... I added the lemon butter to TJ's frozen cod fillets :-

This is a nice, light, summery dish, but I'm not sure the shallots are worth the time/effort & seemed a bit of a pointless addition to the dish... I used cod instead of halibut & I served it over sauteed fennel, bok choy & cabbage.

Wow! This was an incredibly fast, easy and delicious recipe. My husband and I both gobbled it down and he asked me to make it once a week! I think the crispy shallots were worth the effort - they added some nice flavor and crunch. The lemon butter definitely makes the recipe - I can't wait to use the butter on other fish and veggies.

Rated 4 stars because the crispy shallots may not be worth the effort. I did like them, but they didn't seem to add that much wow to this dish...they may have more impact in a salad. (note: I forgot to purchase grape seed oil, so I cooked them on med-low heat w/a shallow amount of canola oil - worked out well Also, my grocer does not carry halibut because they say it's too expensive at 18.99/lb., so I used cod instead. The lemon butter made the meal, little effort with big taste!
