The listed 3-star ratings for this recipe is misleading. It results from numberous readers not being able to access the recipe and therefore giving the recipe a 1-star rating. I made these last night. This recipe is simply wonderful. My family faved over them and they will become a regular in our sweets menu.

I agree that some people tend to jump the gun here, showing very little patience. It is ridiculous to rate a recipe so low just because the recipe hasn't shown up yet. It seems very silly to me. The ratings should reflect your opinion on the recipe's results, nothing else.

I understand it's frustrating in this fast-paced, give-it-to-me-now world to have to wait for something; but those who rated the recipe poorly because of a technical glitch are wrong.
I rely on the advice on my fellow "chefs" out there, and would have passed over a delicious recipe had I not taken the time to read the reviews. Generally I find that most people are honest, fair and reliable in their advice. This time some of you dropped the ball.

I also wanted to try this recipe after viewing it on TV, but the recipe wasn't in its usual place on-line. However, the next day it was. I tried the cookies tonight and my husband says they might be the best ones I've ever made - high praise! They were slightly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside - perfect! I didn't know how to roast hazelnuts either, so used walnut chips instead.

No one has posted it, but the recipe issue seems to have been resolved.

I'm a long-time cookie baker, and I can't wait to try this recipe. The toffee will make it sing!

I think that Giada's idea for a "cookie swap" party was an excellent idea. It was interesting to see the delicious recipies she had brought to life before your eyes. Then, after they were created, she called in her friends who'd brought along their own treats to "swap". It brings together food, friends, and fun. Her attitude is casual, but, she is clearly very talented, professional, yet, at ease and knows her craft. Well done and tres interessant!
