My husband is a cookie nut, and he just announced tonight that these cookies are the best cookies he's ever had! I made them for a boating dinner party last night--my contribution was dessert--along with Ina's lemon bars. For eight people, I arranged on a platter 10 lemon bars, 18 of these cookies, fresh strawberries and figs. I brought home 3 lemon bars, some strawberries, some figs but not one cookie!

This is the best cookie recipe I ever tried! My new favorite cookies! I have made these twice already. The first time I followed the recipe to a T and found it too sweet for my taste. The second time I reduced the sugar down, I used 3/4 cup brown and 1/4 cup granulated and it came out with the perfect amount of sweetness. The chocolate chips and toffee add sweetness so reducing the sugar by 1 cup works. Also, I found the 15 minute bake time to be exactly right if oven temp. is set at 350 versus 325. These cookies do have a tendency to become crispy if left in the oven any longer.

I followed Giada's recipe and I can't keep them in the house. I make them and within an hour they are gone. The recipe is easy to follow and the hazelnuts are not hard to find. This is my favorite cookie recipe.

I followed this recipe as stated with the exception of using coffee butter toffees and omitted hazelnuts as these are difficult to find in regular grocery stores. The cookies did not appear golden or fully cooked at the 325 degrees F oven temperature after 15 mins.I left in for 5mins longer but saw no difference.I raised the oven temperature to 350 degrees F for 10 mins and cookies burned at base. Also, the toffee seemed to run on the cookie sheets and spread outside of the cookies.I put a 2nd batch in at 325 degrees F for 20mins because they weren't baking fully. They arew very hard and crunchy.I think this is an excellent cookie dough recipe but I am not getting the texture I want for a standard cookie.I think this recipe will taste great with raisins and oatmeal.

Truly delightful, a huge crowd pleaser. The flavors were just perfect; I used milk chocolate chips and it was awesome. These will be a tradition for any event that I need easy, yummy cookies!

These are my favorite chocolate chip cookies! The hazelnuts and toffee bits make them over the top delicious. So goood! They also taste yummy when you freeze them and eat them cold. Yum Yum!

You never see hazelnuts in cookies anymore. I was glad that I saw this! The cookies were quick, easy, and satisfying. Go hazelnuts!
