This was easy and could be prepared ahead. Even my husband liked them-- but--I used grated pecorino instead of provolone. An easy dish with a nice presention with any dish.

What a TOTAL waste of time, energy and money. BLAH!Even my own fresh tomatoes, adding my own fresh basal plus garlic.. plus a pinch of red pepper did not help. I added the red pepper just to try and get a little yumph out of the dish. Also parmesean cheese sprinkled on top. What a waste of money!!
This turned out to be the most "stuffed" nothing I ever prepared. Having "stuffed" everything from artichokes to mushrooms, clams and oysters to flank steak. I bought into this tomato dish. Yuck!!Save your money. Don't waste your time. There was no great taste here at all!

I fixed the stuffed tomatoes a few days ago (along with grilled lamb chops and roasted potatoesand they were absolutely delicious. The only thing I did different is add a clove of chopped garlic. I know that Giada did not put the garlic in because of her mother not liking it that way. It really had wonderful flavor. This will become one of the favorites. Love watching the show. I have tried a lot of your recipes and have not been disappointed yet. Keep up with the great recipes. Thank you.

These were good though I wouldn't say that they were wonderful. They make a beautiful presentation. I will make these again but I might add more cheese.

I will definitely make these again, but they didn't knock my socks off. I made them for a party so had leftovers and they reheated pretty well the next day. Next time I will top them with some cheese, I think that would knock it up a notch. I think I would also make my own herb breadcrumbs as someone else mentioned.

I made the stuffed tomatoes for a large crowd and they were a big hit. Although, I personally don't like and never was a fan of already seasoned breadcrumbs (they just have an odd smell to me and most family memebers agreed. Next time, I will just make my own from a ciabatta loaf and season it with my own herbs; nothing like fresh parsley! I loved the concept of these, but ther's definate room for improvising to one's taste. Try it and you'll see what I mean.
