delicious! my family thought quinoa was boring before trying this recipe, i thought there was a bit too much lemon, but my family didn't, I might cut down on it next time though.

This one really missed the mark. I didn't like it at all and threw it out. Sorry Giada.

I really like strong flavors, so I disregarded the many comments about the excessive lemon in this recipe. Big mistake. This is mouth-puckeringly sour. Way, way too much lemon. I'd cut it in half or maybe even less than that.

This was excellent! We put a few teaspoons of lemon juice when cooking quinoa rather than 1/4 of a cup of lemon juice. We also just put a few drizzles of lemon juice and the full 2 teaspoons of zest in the dressing. We added sliced grape tomatoes and it was perfect. Fresh herbs are the key.

Like so many of Giada's recipes, I take her lemon ingredients as a suggestion, more than a direction. I used the juice of 1/2 a lemon in the dressing and 1/8 teaspoon of zest. It still tasted too lemony to me. I also riffed on this recipe -adding fresh oregano, 1 chopped tomato, 1/4 cup of crumbled feta and 1 minced clove of garlic to make this a more substantial side for pesto marinated steak. It was fantastic. I think Giada would be proud...and then ask me for some lemon wedges anyway. :

When I read the other reviews, I was a little concerned about the lemon flavor as others had noted. I still made the recipe as directed and it was great. I actually added in some fresh Lemon Verbena to the herbs. Delicious! I will definitely be making this dish over and over again. Great addition to a summer grill-out!

This was so incredibly delicious that I had to scrape up every little bit! I used less lemon juice as everyone said and added some tomatoes and artichokes. SO. So. good.

This is one of my favorite spring, summer recipes. I have a meyer lemon tree in the back yard and use them for all recipes calling for lemon. By using that type of lemon I found it not too lemony at all. This is one of the few recipes that I follow EXACTLY as printed, except sometimes I use veg. stock when making for my vegetarian friends. Also I have sometimes changed up the herbs depending on what's available in the garden. Mint instead of parsley, some dried basil in the cooking liquid. I agree that it is good hot, room temp or cold although some family members do not appreciate it cold.
The first time I made this I served with grilled steak and a visiting 17 year old said the Quinoa was the best thing he had ever eaten

Okay~ I followed this recipe to the exact measurements expertly recommended by the skillful Giada. I thought that just the 1/4 cup of lemon juice in the dressing sufficed and not the added 1/4 lemon juice also for the quinoa. However, with every bite I strangely pined for yet another bite! Next time, I shall use only 1/4 lemon juice in the dressing only, to see if my palette is equally as pleased with this healthy little number. Thank you, Giada!

This was my first time making quinoa and I followed the recipe exactly as it says. I thought it was too lemony, as many people have said. I enjoy the lemon flavor, but it was very overwhelming. Next time I will skip out on the lemon in the chicken stock and probably use less in the dressing mixture.
