Gonna try this tonite. Love hibiscus tea and vodka so what could go wrong? If the fact that the ingredients aren't in a cute little bowl keeps someone from trying any of these recipes that's just their loss. I think she is keeping it real. No one has all of my ingredients in cute little bowls when I prepare meals, and half the time it takes me awhile to find stuff in my own kitchen. I love the new show!

I should have read the reviews before I made this. The tea is lovely but too much sugar is added. I came out way to sweet. I would cut the sugar by a bit more than half. You can always add but you can't take it away! : This was a wonderful compliment to the balsamic/honey glazed lamb chops, which were sooo yummy!

Was wonderful without the vodka. We do not drink any alcohol at all.

This was a great episode and aside from the food, I'd love to know where to hire the musicians. What a fabulous duo they were!

I wish I had read the reviews before I made this, I did cut the sugar just because it seemed like alot, but it was still really sweet with 1 cup of sugar. I also used rose petals and rose tea bags that I found. We did not have hibiscus at the store I went too! I did find hibiscus cooler juice, and added a few splashes of that. The rose flavor was wonderful, but it changes the drink to taste more like a Valentines day drink or a tea party drink... I am going to add more vodka and lemon and regular tea tomorrow to try and improve it.

A little too sweet, but very good. I added some regular brewed "unsweet" tea to the mix, then increased the vodka to eliminate the supersweet taste. Serving it tonight with Arti's Tandori BBQ Chicken, Giada's Couscous cakes, and a cool and refreshing cucumber salad. Then I'm topping it all off with a frozen key lime pie!

First off... if you want a non achlcholic verion use either sparkling water or club soda. The soda makes it a litle more tart but you get the same affect.......
Hibiscus flowers are edible and you can make tea ect with them. Luckily I have a wonderful local tea lady that I can get them from. Here is her website you can order online if you'd like.... http://baileyandwillowtea.com/index.html (if you don't see them online you can email her and she can get you some
I didn't use the hibiscus though b/c I find them a little bitter.... I used rose petals instead. They have a soft yummy floral taste and a wonderful soft after taste.

I live in NY but places are always out of it, I found this store over the weekend and they said they do free shipping anywhere (tea's don't weigh anything so smart idea, Site is called youmeandtea.com . It's cheap too. I think it was 3-4.00 per ounce. I saw the posting about amazon, but not sure what they charge for shipping.
