I changed the recipe to make almond cranberry biscotti and it was amazing! I added the same amount of nuts and 1tsp of good quality almond extract and a bit more flour. The cookies were so good they were gone in one night! definately worth a try!

I watched Giada make this and thought, "I can do that" The next day in mid afternoon I realized I had nothing to take to dinner hosts that night. Starting at 3:30 I made these and could not believe how easy and delicious they were. I had not time to chop pistachios so used sliced almonds instead right from the package. At 6PM I was on my way to my dinner engagement. My hostess was so impressed and squealed "Biscotti!" How lovely!" I didn't dip the cookies in chocolate, and they made a beautiful presentation. I will make them with pistashios today. What fun to surprise myself that I can now make biscotti. I tried one this morning with coffee. Delicious! Thanks

I never dreamed I could make biscotti myself. I couldn't wait to try this recipe so made it with sliced almonds which I had on hand,in place of the pistachios. I didn't dip the cookies in chocolate. They looked very festive and are delicious. This will be one of my standard holiday cookies from now on. Thanks Giada!!!

Like the others, I don't think the chocolate is necessary. Nice flavors and I didn't find it difficult to make. I'll definitely be making this in the future (experimenting with different flavors too. Loved it!

I made this recipe for Christmas Eve dinner and it came out great. The Biscotti came out rich and crumbly.

I NEVER KNEW BISCOTTI WAS THAT EASY TO MAKE. I THREW THIS TOGETHER PRETTY QUICKLY AND THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS GORGEOUS. THEY WERE A BIG HIT AROUND THE HOLIDAYS! THANKS GIADA.

Dough was too sticky and hard to handle. Cookies came out really crumbly. I ended up with 9 decently shaped cookies. there's no way you'll get 2 dozen. Taste wasn't good either; you could hardly taste the cranberry or lemon. Try Tyler Florence's "Pistachio Biscotti" instead. His is a good template for biscotti. I don't trust Giada's recipes anymore.
