This was a simple recipe for delicious cookies! I love the lemon zest...it gives it a special kick. The only thing that was frustrating to me was the fact that the biscotti would crumble as I cut it. If I can figure out a way to avoid that happening I would be a happy camper!

This recipe makes delicous biscotti! Just be aware that shelling pistachios takes some time and effort.

This was a big hit in my holiday goodie basket last year and I will be making them for years to come.

I should have been paying closer attention. My biscotti burned on the edges with the first baking. Next time I will bake for 35 minutes. Also, I have made these twice, and the first time, the biscotti broke when I cut them, but this time, I only let them cool 20 minutes and they didn't break. I added some vanilla extract, almond extract, and orange zest. I also substituded almonds.

I've tried a few different biscotti recipes and was disappointed with the hard as a rock results. The dough from this recipe is much softer than that of other recipes I tried. The end product is delicious and a great hostess gift. I am looking forward to experimenting with different toss ins since the base is so great.

I bought holiday tins and filled them for my co-workers. It was a hit and easy to make.
