    i made these for a dinner party - served them with coffee after dinner. i didnt have any of the holiday sugar crystals, so i made them without, and they were a huge hit. thanks again giada!!

    This about the third time I have made these. I use the basic recipe and do change the nuts or berries. Today I made the recipe and added chopped walnut,and choc. chips. Then when all cooled, I drizzle choc. over the top w/a fork. When the choc. has hardened, I dust w/powdered sugar! Family and friends love them !

    I have made this cookie 5 times in the past 10 weeks. My family loves them. I brought them to work and everyone loves them. I have modified recipe for fun to reduce sugar to 2/3 cup and add 2 tablespoons of amaretto in it's place. It turned out very well. Also, I have increased somewhat the amount of nuts and used multiple flavored cranberries.
