I was looking forward to making this recipe. They were very tasty but I couldn't give them as a gift because they fell apart.

Last year, I made it many times. It's one of the few things that my parents really truly enjoyed, and have actually asked me to make over and over. For them, I actually have to make two batches at a time, once a week. I've never had biscotti before but I'm told it shouldn't come out like this. I've no complaints though. When I bake it, mine come out with a shortcake cookie texture. It's nice and sweet, but not too sweet. Sometimes, some do crumble, but there's usually still a lot of whole sticks left; but the crumbs taste good anyway, and make a nice small snack. I use any nuts I can find, almonds and walnuts mostly.

these are absolutely delicious! i've made these quite a few times now and everyone loves them. my only problem is with cutting them. i find them to crumble alot, which means i end up eating lbs of broken biscotti since it's just too good to throw out. i'm going to try the other reviewers comment about the flour to see if that helps with the crumble part, but besides that these are the greatest biscotti ever.

This was a very easy recipe to make. I needed to refrigerate the dough before molding it on the tray pan. They taste delicious, but when I cut the log to re-bake them they were very difficult to cut because they were too crumbly. But I have enough to hand out for gifts and to nibble for myself.

Made it for the first time today, crash holiday party. Didnt have time to make the cookie as directed, so used the package sugar cookie mix, and macadamia nuts and dried cherries. I did however follow all the other directions, and all I can say is WOW love it, thaks Giada, it WILL be a family staple from now!

I have made these many times and they turn out perfect. My friends have always asked for more and I love gifting them for Christmas in my home-made goodies hamper. They indeed look pretty and yummy!!!!!

This is a delicious alternative to the ordinary holiday cookie. The lemon is a nice counterpoint to the white chocolate, and it's got all those great textures going on. Really good with coffee or tea.

To the other reviewers who had trouble with the dough/cookies being crumbly, it sounds like there was too much flour in your batch. You must be very careful not to compress the flour in the measuring cup or you could end up with as much as an ounce more flour per cup! (And that's a lot. I always fluff the flour with a fork before I begin, and then use a spoon to scoop out into the measuring cup, leveling off with a knife edge. I don't tamp down the flour, or compress it in any way. You can always add more flour if the dough seems too sticky, but you can't ever take it out. If you own a kitchen scale, use that to measure your flour by weight. Check online for websites that provide equivalent weights and measure for flour. It's worth it. Good luck!

These taste delicious, but I couldn't get them to stay intact enough to feel good about serving them to guests. I didn't even bother dipping them in the chocolate because they were so crumbly. I'm happy to nibble on them, but they definitely won't be added to my holiday menu.

I made this recipe today with pistacios and dried cherries. Out of this world. I will have to make more before the holidays as I'm sure when the kids get home from college this week, they will devour them.
