This was a new and AWESOME recipie just for something different. The crust has to be really watched for not too much oil and only do lightly brown and I mean lightly! Too much oil and when you blend it in the processor it turns into mush and the olive oil is really strong tasting in the crust. When done correctly don't be afraid of the roasted peppers and spices they just add color and texture and take the taste of the cheese cake. The cheese bleds are the best it really is gooooood!

This recipe is soooooo gooooood. I was afraid of cheescakes, but, really, it's no big deal. I've done it with and without the crust, and it's good both ways, but the crust kicks it up to stellar. It's worth it. I've done it with a sweet jam/jelly and I've done it with jalepeno jelly. I prefer the jalepeno. Giada-thank for this recipe! My new favorite!

Made this for Christmas Eve buffet last year and it was a hit. Made it again this past Chritmas Eve and it was the first thing to disappear from the table.
Easy to make and a very elegant presentation

Fantastic recipe that I've made several times with great success. After the first time, I did ditch the crostini idea and just went with breadcrumbs and crackers because life is just too short. The last time I made this, I made two smaller cheesecakes and instead of topping them with the strawberry jam, I used relishes from Harry and David; the pepper and chili relish on one and the vidalia onion on the other. The flavors of those worked very well with the cheesecakes.

I'm going to make another one for Christmas Eve.

A great savory cheesecake for entertaining - quite a delightful surprise for the guests as well. Kudos to Giada for this wonderful recipe!

This is a winning recipe with everyone, every time! Easy enough to prepare (definitely do not want to save time by using anything but the crostini for the crust! and a beautiful presentation. A wonderful appetizer, delicious entree when served with a side salad, and even an awesome dessert. Celebrate the leftovers from this one!

I made this as an appetizer before Christmas dinner and it was a HUGE hit. It is gorgeous with the jam on top and the colors are so festive! And the taste! Quite possibly my new favorite spread! My only complaint was the crust was a bit soggy for my liking... And a side note - if you'll be serving with crackers - get strong ones since the cheesecake can be a bit dense.

This cheesecake is great for parties, but it is so big that I just cut a couple of pieces off and saved the rest for more parties. Halve the ingredients and put it in a smaller springform pan if needed.
