Just finished this recipe and doubled it as recomended by others. My husband is a diabetic so I used sugar free maple syrup and splenda brown sugar blend. I doubled the salt because I wanted more sweet-salty taste. Very easy to make I can't stop eating it!! Definately will make again. Giada does it again!

I never knew granola was so easy to make! I've made this recipe about 5 times in the last few weeks - it is so delicious! Tweaked it a little by adding about 1/2 cup each of walnuts and peanuts, 1/4 cup of flaxseed, and another 1/2 cup of oats just because it seemed too watery after mixing. I also reduced the brown sugar to about 1/2 cup. Eat it over yogurt with cut-up fruit and you have a delicious breakfast!

This is the best granola recipe I have made from food network! The juice really makes it stick together and taste more like granola! I used pumpkin seeds with the shell on. It didn't make it hard to eat just gave it more texture. A great splurge food on my weight loss journey and makes me feel full for longer unlike a cup of icecream!!!

Thanks Jaywille for the calorie count. I have asked why the chefs on FN won't give out the nutritional value of their foods but I guess we all know what's fattening and what's not.
I just made this recipe and I did the second bake with the cranberries and found it to be a little too hard but different ovens bake differently. It will be easier to adjust next time.
Why would anyone put unshelled nuts in any recipe? And last but not least...the raters who give 1 and 2 stars must be the best darn cooks in the world or the worst maybe.
If you notice, the critics who give bad reviews never make the recipe from instructions or take
in consideration all of the factors e.g. too little or too much of something, oven temp difference, etc.
If I like a recipe I just trying until I get it to my liking.

Wow!!!!!! This was a very easy and so yummy.....It is a cool early fall day and they whole house smells so yummy. I added dried cherry's, blueberries and apples. Doubled the recipe and I am glad I did. My kids do not care for the cranberries to much. This will not last in our home for very long. Giada I have made many of your recipes and this is another fantastic one. Thank you!!!!

This was a very easy recipe to make. I substituted mixed dried fruit pieces for the cranberries. I didn't have pumpkin seeds in the house, so I used peanuts. The family loves it! I don't see this snack lasting long in this house.

I followed this recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. Next time I make it, I will tweek it a bit by adding different kinds of dried fruit. I think a mixture of raisins, cranberries and apricots would be good. Even dried apples! This is definitely a keeper recipe!

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of this recipe. It's probably my own fault. I had to use honey instead of maple syrup and all I had was sweetened cranberry juice. I thought the granola was too sweet and too chewy, but I never use maple syrup or unsweetened cranberry juice and I didn't want to waste money on things that would just waste time in my pantry. I'll probably look for a recipe that is a little crunchier and has ingredients I won't have to buy just for this recipe.

This is a good 'base' recipe for granola. I used dried cherries instead of cranberries. I also added Fiber One cereal (for some fiber, and some chopped walnuts. As Granola is high in calories, I use about 1/4c over greek yogurt for breakfast. It's delicious. Thanks Giada.
