I doubled the recipe, added basil and substituted shallots for onions cuz that's what I had on hand. Great out of the oven and perfect as a leftover lunch treat.

My wife and I have recently been "turned on" to Everyday Italian, the dishes always sound so yummy, but this was the first time we attempted to follow one of them. Unfortunately we lacked EVOO, so we had to substitute Canola Oil for it, but I must say even with that change, the dish was superb. My wife may never again go for a store bought mix to put chicken in again. Thank you for sharing this great recipe with us.

We liked this recipe, however, next time I will use mini penne, add more chicken, more cheese, use Italian flavored tomatoes and skip the bread crumbs. If I were making this for little kids, I would make the recipe as printed though. My changes are just to please my families preferances. Thanks for the recipe Giada!

I can't decide what I liked most about this pasta episode. Perhaps it was the aromas as it baked that triggered my childhood memories, but in any event, the happy flavors warmed us on a cold and icy Virginia. Thanks again, Giada, we loved it.

This was so quick and easy it'll be a family favorite in our house. I did add the basil with the parsley though and a few more spices for a little more flavor, but seeing my kids are older they preferred a little more spice. For younger ones, stick to the recipe, they'll love it.
