This salad was awesome. The combination of the grilled lettuce and the polenta croutons was incredible.

I thought the dressing had a very strong flavor. If I make it again, I may cut down on the amount of lemon,

I thought the polenta was easy to make, but the frying part was a bit more tedious. Make sure your oil is HOT or your croutons won't brown. I finally got it right and the croutons are delicious! I had never had polenta before, so it was a fun, exotic thing to try. The dressing is yummy (although I made it vegetarian without the anchovies. The grilling part is magic. Another winner from Giada!

Thanks for a wonderful way to spice up a caesar salad. I served this to company with the garlic rosemary breadsticks, doesn't get any better.
Thanks again it will be made often in my home.

I actually used a different dressing for the same salad idea. I just hate anchovies- does anyone know how to substitute for them in a Caesar dressing?

I cook alot and last night my husband said, "this is the BEST salad you have ever made!". Don't skip any of the ingredients and yes, the dressing is not your typical ceasar ( I don't think it's suppose to be. It's an incredible mix of tastes and textures! A show stopper!
