This is a great salad. At first the dressing was too strong for me, so I made another batch with half the mustard and I used Meyer Lemon juice, as it is sweeter, it turned out great. This is the BEST salad!

This salad is very, very good. The grilled romaine is different and delish! We didn't have any sun dried tomatoes or pine nuts, so we used some sun dried tomato pest and added a little to the salad. Very fun, can't wait to make it again

The first time I used this recipe, I just made the dressing and had a normal salad with it. I fell in LOVE with the dressing! Very garlicky! I then moved on to the grilled lettuce, but no polenta croutons (no time. I used a gas grill and walked away, so ended up with some char on the outside. I would definitely turn down the heat on this and watch it carefully to get it perfect. Even with the char, I love the individuality of this dish! Can't wait to try the polenta croutons next...

Made this for Christmas dinner, everyone loved it, especially the croutons and the dressing, however, we didn't warm the lettuce.

The grilled lettuce was warm yet still crunchy so it was delicious. The dressing was perfect and very easy. Sun dried tomatos were a nice complement. I will definitely make this again.

I just made the dressing and thought it was fabulous. This does not need any egg! I found a Caesar salad dressing that I liked. Thanks Giada!

We thought this unusal and delicious. I have made it twice and both times it was well received.

We had never grilled lettuce until seeing Giada's series, but now, we're hooked! The polenta croutons are a nice twist as well which would have never occurred to me.
