I was going to use Pillsbury Italian breadstick dough (shame on me!, but was out. I was REALLY CRAVING the doughnuts... so I used the Grands can that I had. I just cut a circle out in the middle (they're already round, skip the rolling & cutting work!, and fried them in the deep fryer. They turned out great!!!! I will have to try it with pizza dough next... I was skeptical when I saw it, but they're fun and easy... way better than trekking over to the donut shop in pjs and bed head!

I buy a really good pizza dough at my neighborhood's italian market when I don't have time to make my own. I had some leftover and decided to make these for my family...they were eating them as I was frying and sugaring!!! I couldn't keep up with them, they loved them. Thanks

These were so delicious that we could not stop eating them. I used different cookie cutter shapes such as stars and hearts and they looked adorible. I loved that they didn't taste oily. Giada you are wonderful.

I love this show. I made these donuts the other day and my family loved it. I made them again, but instead of the sugar and chocolate, I made an Amaretto glaze, and a Rum glaze. It made the donuts so moist and tasty. I just melted butter and sugar together for 5mins, then I put it in 2 bowls. In one i added the amaretto and the other I added the Rum. I also used the mascaporne frosting and they were awesome. Another thing i tried was making them with out the donut holes and i made a simple custard from jello pudding to fill the donuts. They were awesome. If you want to the recipe give me a shout.
