This is such a great idea. So simple, but delicious. Using a quality bread makes a difference. I prefer using a homemade marinara sauce also. This simple dish really gets one out of a standard breakfast rut.

I made this and it was delicious. It reminded me of my mom's spaghetti and eggs in marinara sauce. I am going to make this for my daughter for lunch on Saturday. Any crunchy bread would be great with this. Add a piece of lettuce for extra texture and crunch.

I'm not a huge fan of sunny side up eggs, but I could see this with my own "baked" scrambled egg puffs! I love garlic, parmesean, and crusty bread, so this may be the new Sunday morning breakfast entree in my household....or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday morning breakfast! Who needs restaurant brunch with recipes like this?

Find the best Italian bread in your local bakery, and then this makes a wonderful bakery. If the bread isn't top of the line, however, don't bother.

I had everything in the house except the french bread. I used the organic whole wheat that I had & toasted it a little longer so it was firmer & Newman's Own tomato & roasted garlic sauce. It was very good & a terrific alternative to the standard egg sandwich.

I was about to leave a bad rating for this recipe because I didn't care for it the first time I made it...then I decided I wasn't being fair to Giada since I used freezer-burnt Texas toast instead of a quality italian crusty bread. So I bought some good italian bread, and WOW what a difference! My husband (who curled his nose up at it when he saw me put Parmaseano Reggiano on it loved it! First bite, he said "it's not bad"..then he sat down with it and by the end he wanted another! So easy and so quick..not bad for you either. The only change I made was using canola oil instead of Olive oil. You don't notice the difference much and it saves on the wallet. I also used a good non-stick pan and less oil to cut on calories.

I am always trying to find new ways to cook eggs for breakfast having 50 chickens on our farm, it seems i am always cooking plain old scrambled eggs. I decided to try this recipe and it was delicious, i wish i had made more because everyone in the house loved these egg sandwiches. Thank-you Giada for all your wonderful recipes, you are an inspiration to the home cooks like me.

Who would have thought such simple ingrediants would result in such a tasty breakfast treat. I'm giving up ketchup!

I absolutely love this recipe! I couldn't believe how easy and delicious this recipe was. I used sourdough english muffins instead of the bread since that's what I had in the pantry. As a new mom, it is so nice to treat myself to a fun twist on a classic breakfast meal. Thanks Giada!

At first, this combination of marinara with a fried egg did not sound appealing. But, it looks beautiful and tastes even better. The garlic flavor with the simple and delicious sauce on top of crunchy baguette will really make anyone's morning. You have got to try it!!
