Hard for me to get excited about salad, but this was superb. It's simple to make but the favors playing off each other were wonderful. I plan to make this often.

I loved the dressing in this salad. It is very light and refreshing, and I will definitely make it again. The one thing I did not care for in the salad itself though is using the fresh herbs. Personally, it's just to strong a flavor for me. Without them though, I give the recipe two thumbs up!

I made this dressing with lime instead of lemon juice/zest and it came out great. My husband who normally does not like salad said the dressing was great.

Served this salad with a roast chicken and it was amazing. The fresh lemon dressing was tasty enough that it could have been drizzled over the entire meal.
Everyone had second helpings of the salad -- it was hard to resist the tangy combination of flavors. Kalamata olives provided a nice salty punch while the basil and lemon played off each other perfectly. And the combination of textures in the greens was great(don't skip the endive!. This salad is a keeper. It's just so simple and is the star of any meal.

Don't judge this because it looks simple. I got raves for this salad and will make it again & again.
