    I make lemoncello. I bought my organic lemons just for the zest, until this recipe jumped out. Now, this is a great way to fully use my lemons. It is strong so most people will want to further dilute it with sparkling, or water, or ice.

    Just delicious! Made for 4th of July bbq today. I agree and added 1 cup more water and lots of ice. Basil flavor luscious! Make sure when you cool the basil simple syrup that you cool it for at least 30 minutes to get the full flavor. Only thing I would change is less sugar. Little too sweet for my taste. After I made it I cut 2 lemons into wedges and put into pitcher. It is out of this world good!!

    This lemonade came out great! I just made it for 2 different parties this weekend and everybody loved it and I'll probably be making this for all kinds of summer BBQ's! But, if you follow the recipe exactly it is way too strong and needs to be diluted, which can be hard because you don't want to dilute it too much. I added an extra cup of the sparkling water and about 4 or 5 handfulls of ice, which helped it cool down and dilute it.

    I used 12 lemons when I made this yesterday. I like a semi-strong lemonade so I added 5 cups of water and 5 Equal for more sweetness. The basil really shakes it up! LOVE THIS!!! :D

    My God in Heaven Giada! This is crazy delicious! This recipe can go in so many different directions! But I am so happy that you introduced the base! Simply wonderful!

    This lemonade was so good! I also used extra water like some other reviewers, and one other change. I used lemon basil, which I didn't realize existed until I went to the farmer's market and one of the vendors recommended it. Anyways, it was a really nice flavor, and it still stood out against the lemon juice. I will definitely make this again!

    I just made this for my family and it's amazing! I diluted it a little bit more with water because it was a bit strong for my taste, but overall I loved it.

    We have made lemonade for years and loved it! It didn't seem you could make it any better, but giada did!! It's the best lemonade ever!!
