I will never make baked beans again without putting Giadas'Italian twist on them again. Not only were they fantastic in taste they were easy to make. That's a treasure to single parents.

I've made this recipe many times always to rave reviews. Be sure to use dark beer and I like the smoky flavor of bacon rather than the pancetta. I've also changed up the beans using 2 cans of the cannellini beans a can of butter beans and a can of navy beans just to vary things - it doesn't change the flavor at all. I adore this recipe! I can't begin to imgaine what people are doing wrong when they say the beans are hard or dry - they're canned so they are soft and tender to begin with. Humph!

I made this recipe exactly as stated. I served them to company and they were a huge hit. Very tasty indeed! The only thing I'll do differently the next time I make them is decrease the amount of brown sugar. They were just a bit too sweet for my liking. Other than that, the flavor was delightful. This one's a definite keeper!

My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. It tasted so good. The gentle sweetness of the dish was so flavorable. Thanks Giada

I made these for a large 4th of July family gathering. Let's just say that I think it's my job to bring the beans every year for July 4th! Follow the recipe exactly, including baking directions. It's so easy, and the crowd will love them.
