We did like this recipe; reminds me of pasticcio. Because it reminded me of pasticcio, I took the liberty of adding cinnamon to the meat while browning it. Also, left out the ricotta. If you like this recipe try Ina Garten's pasticcio recipe--just love it.

Well, I know my husband is very "uncomfortable" (? eating lamb, yet loves pasta with a tomato-based sauce. I, however, love lamb and when my butcher showed me some ultra-fresh ground, and I knew I had not had lamb in such a long time, I went for it -- crossing my fingers that I could find one of Giada's recipes to perhaps make the lamb more palatable for him. I tried to hide the white butcher paper with "lamb" written on it, but he saw it when I was cooking. Well, he was not pleased and anticipated eating at McDonalds. And then what do you know -- he LOVED this recipe. Heck, he had two large servings. As the chef, I knew this was going to be the outcome. And, Giada doesn't steer you wrong!

This is fantastic! It does make enough for an army! I did substitute ground beef for the lamb and it was still tasty. Making this again!

This is a terrific dish. I made it just as written and used the marinara sauce link in the recipe to 'Nona's Marinara Sauce' which is from now on my go-to sauce. Ricotta, lamb, mint and pasta so good!

This dish is super flavorful! I made it as directed and used Giada's marinara sauce recipe for the ragu. I have made the marinara many times before and it is super easy and tasty. I may have added a couple extra splashes of wine while the lamb cooked because it looked so good! I didn't serve this dish immediately, I packed it up and dropped it off at my bf's house for him while he was studying. I tasted to the ragu after it had a couple hours to sit and I thought it was very very rich and delicious. I think the flavors got better with a little time.
The mint was perfect with the lamb. This dish is a winner!!!

I am 18 and just made this for my parents. They loved it! My Dad went to Italy last Spring, and loved the authenticity of this dish. Now they won't ever let me go to college, they'll want me to make dinner every night! Thanks for making me the favorite child, Giada! ....Now to go make Giada's "orange and chocolate zeppole's" for dessert!

Good dish, but certainly not fantastic. It's pasta with lamb sauce. The ground lamb stands out in the dish, and that's a good thing. However, it's simple and non-sensational. I wouldn't make it for guests. (I tend to gravitate toward exciting dishes for guests. The garlic bread was the highlight of dinner. What does that tell you? PS - Light a candle after dinner. The house will smell a tad lamb-y.
