OMG Delicious!!! I was so impressed with myself : very happy! The ragu was gorgeous, delicious and so tasty with the lamb. The ONLY think I would change next time (and there will be a next time is leave out the Ricotta cheese. It took away from the taste. I was bummed after adding it in. Fresh mint was nice.

The dish was wonderful. My hubby liked the mint, but he doesn't like too much so I used only about 4 springs. Just enough to flavor it, but not overpower. I used a full cup of merlot. It was wonderful. The sweetness of the Merlot balanced nicely with the bite of tomato, mint and lamb. The lamb I bought had been frozen and when I first started frying it, it smelled a bit strong. By the time the dish was complete, there was NO strong lamb taste. My only 'complaint' is that a pound of pasta was a bit much. Next time I'll use 3/4 of a box not a whole one. The lamb was only a pound (it came prepackaged so I think it was a *bit* short on sauce.

We love this recipe! It's a go-to for weeknights. I have a garden with mint, and I was excited to use it in this recipe.

I have made this dish twice, each for different members of my family and they could not get enough of it!!! what a wonderful way to widen someone's horizons when it comes to food! My aunt has always strayed away from lamb because it made her think of "Mary had a little..." After we convinced her to try this dish, she and my uncle raved about how luscious and delicious it is! Thanks Giada for another fantastic recipe!

My daughter had seconds and thirds. She nodded and "mmm"ed all the way through. Her parents loved it, too.

One of the best lamb dishes i've tasted, easy to prepare, rich in flavor. Recommend using a bit more lamb however with the penne, it fills the noodles quite perfectly! I will make this again and again!

I just made and served this for dinner because it sounded different enough to welcome springtime. Oops. It was not happy to burp mint after eating pasta ... just wrong. I cook for others often and am told I know what I'm doing so it's not like I occasionally venture into the gourmet kitchen to create something that's hopefully edible. I gave my husband a heads-up that the green therein was mint, not basil (both grown in our garden. Don't waste the extra expense on lamb ... stick with your beef or Italian sausage recipes! I warned you.
