This is so amazing! The only thing I do different is slow cook it in a crock pot. It works great with pork loins too. It is one of our favorite recipes. We follow it to a the letter....but we do double the sauce recipe to drizzle on top.

it took longer for me to cook then suggested but my boyfriends eyes rolled back into his head and he sat on the couch afterwards in bliss.

I marinated the lamb chops all afternoon in the red wine, EVOO, lemon zest, and salt & pepper. The grilled chops were properly grilled to medium rare, but did not have much flavor. The prepared wine sauce when reduced over heat as directed, did not mix well with the oil. The resulting sauce tasted oily and without flavor. I followed the recipe as written, but it was not a success for me. I won't make this again.

This was great, we served it for Easter tonight & it was GONE! We used a lamb roast & BBQ'd it - 4lbs for 2.5hrs. The wine reduction sauce was a snap, but I slow cooked it for about 25min. It made the lamb. Perfectly balanced. I used a Cabernet.
Luckly we have some of the sauce left & I plan to use it on chicken or pork tomorrow. This is going to be on my top 20!

Tasty, but nothing spectacular. On the TV episode she uses a grill pan on the stove to make them. I would make sure to put them on a real grill, to give them that added true grilled flavor.

I just made this dish for an early valentines dinner for my husband. Having never cooked lamb chops before this was incredibly simple and produced a tender, juicy and quite tasty lamb chop. Sauce was great as well-not sure why people were saying it was too sweet, it was very well balanced

I made this recipe with no substitutions and it was perfect! Very, very tasty 1st class dish. It's one of those recipes where the simple ingredients speak for themselves. I read someone's comment that said the second cup of chianti was a waste (b/c it makes to much for the amount of meat but if you read the recipe, you're supposed to cook or reduce it down to 1 cup. This is where the thickening happens. If people take a little care in reading the recipe their dish would probably turn out better.
