My husband and I really enjoyed this soup. I think you really have to love lemon to enjoy it, as most the negative reviews are having too much of a lemon flavor. I happen to love lemons, so it was perfect for me. I also wouldn't leave out the parmesan as some reviewers noted, it adds a great flavor. I didn't have carrots on hand so I used onion instead and added oregano and 2 cloves of garlic. Next time I will add the carrots. I love traditional chicken soup but this soup is delicious and would be great when you're sick!

best chix noodle soup hands down!! I will never make anything different now. I did add onion, celery and baby red potatoes. I also used wide egg noodles. You can just taste all the goodness in the broth. I almost think the soup could have used more lemon for my preference. Everyone in the family had 2nds!

So delicious! and so easy! Since I do not like carrots in my soup...I left those out, but added potatoes. At first I thought it may be a little strange because of the pasta and potatoes. But it was delicious! I also added 2 smashed garlic cloves with the bay leave, and removed them when I took the bay leave out. Thank you, Giada!

A keeper! I used Anelletti pasta and it was big hit with the family. We loved the added flavor of the lemon!

Okay I made this when I had a cold so maybe that altered my taste ability however I thought it was bad. I absolutely love lemons however this soup tasted like tea to me.

What a great recipe to use leftover chicken with any on-hand ingredients. I used only 1 lemon for juice and added celery, garlic & onion per other reviewers recommendations. I also used Trader Joe's Lemon Pepper pasta, let it simmer with other ingredients until thoroughly cooked (@ 15-20 min. Family loved it!

I thought that this soup was absolutely delicious. I followed the advice from other reviews and added extra veggies, like celery etc. I also cut down on the amount of lemon juice. I could definitely see where other reviewers were coming from that if I used the full amount of lemon it would have been wayy to overpowering. My family loved and my boyfriend was asking me to make it again within a week.

Excellent variation of a classic chicken noodle soup, with the lemon adding a bright layer of flavor. I added onions and celery for depth of flavor and fresh basil just before serving for the fresh element. I served it with Giada's pea crostini (added fresh basil to that too. Both were outstanding! My 12 year old was so impressed. His comment was "leave it to Giada to come up with perfection!" I agree.
