The cookies taste amazing! But the batter was a little runny, so even though I evenly placed the dough scoops on the cookie sheet, they ran together a bit while baking. I found that my madeline pan worked great with this dough and I used it for the final 18 cookies. I didn't make the glaze and liked the cookies just fine without it. I would make this recipe again, but when I do, I'll use my madeline pan for all the cookies. They have a more madeline-like taste and consistency.

I added this recipe to my "must bake" list of Christmas cookies, they're always a hit with friends and co workers, have gotten a few req's for the recipe! I like to keep extra lemon juice on the side to add to the glaze as the recipe amt come out too heavy.

I think they present more as a mini lemon cake then a cookie.

Easy and delightful cookies! Such great flavor that is really good for any time of year but a nice complement to all the chocolate and spicy cookies of Christmas. Thinking of trying these with oranges instead of lemons, too. So good!

These cookies are very good. It's true they are cake cookies, not crunchy. I thought with two cups of sugar plus the glaze they might be too sweet, but they're perfect. Very lemony - not too sweet or too tart. I used part skim ricotta and meyer lemons. I juiced an entire lemon which came out to be a little over 3 tbsp. Following other reviewers, I scooped them in 1 tbsp balls which is the perfect size. Took about 18 mins to cook. I'm giving them as gifts paired w/ a few premium tea bags - english breakfast & lemon mint. Will definitely make these again.

Not at all the rave people claim. They were just ok. My husband took them to work and they ate all the other cookies first. They looked good.but kind of plain and even with the lemon, very sweet. Won't make them again.

These cookies are good, but not great. They have a cake texture and I prefer a bit more crunch. I think 2 TBS of dough per cookie would have been too much. I used a small scoop, I can't remember what # size it is, but it is about a Tbs +. This is the scoop I use to make all my cookes and I think the size came out perfectly. The lemon flavor is good, but again, the texture is not what I prefer. Doubtful that I will make them again.
