These cookies were fantastic! I gave them to my co-workers for Christmas treats, and all requested the recipe. I'm making a second batch for friends, family, and more for myself!

These cookies are absolutely deliscious and easy to make1 I did make the cookies abour 1 tablespoon instead of 2, and I still got a nice sized cookie out of them. I am new to baking and these were a good starter recipe for me to try. Definitly want to try with orange and lime!

Made these and totally not what I expected. They're good, but not great. First, you definitely don't get 44 cookies - NO WAY. Two tablespoons per cookie give you 16 or 18 cookies tops - careful when putting them on the cookiesheet as they run together at this size (did 8 total and they bled together using 2 tablespoons. Think that should probably read two TEASPOONS maybe to get 44 smaller cookies? The glaze for the cookie is pretty sweet and VERY lemon flavored (think Lemondhead candy. I would definitely cut the lemon in the glaze if I ever make them again. Also, the cookies never get hard - they are more pancake texture - which is fine, but if you're looking for the texture of a crunch, this is not the cookie for you. Overall, they do taste good, just wanted to share my experience with them.

this is one of the best cookies ever!! my husband (who swears he will not eat anything with ricotta cheese in it LOVES these lemony bites!! I did make them a little less than one TBSP and cooked them exactly 12 minutes. I like lemon cookies to taste lemon-y so I added lelmon juice from two medium size lemons and used the zest in the cookies. This is a perfect cookie and one I will make more often than Christmas. ANY cookie my husband likes is a keeper in my house, since he doesn't eat many cookies or cake. Thanks, Giada!!

1st off I never bake anything. This Christmas I decided to give some friends some home made cookies. This recipe was very easy to do (even for a novice like me and they came out delicious. Everyone that has tasted them loved them. Problem is I already have requests to do it again.

I had to substitute the wheat flour for white rice flour and they were perfect. So delightfully light and heavenly. Very easy recipe to follow. The only suggestion is do bake them during a dry day - my glaze never harden up - but then again, I made them on a rainy day.
I'm going to try lime and orange ones as well.
Thanks for a wonderful new gluten free cookie!

I saw these cookies on Giada's show a few years ago and tried them this year when they were included in the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies. Both grocery stores I went to for the ricotta cheese didn't carry "whole milk" ricotta, only low fat and skim milk so I opted for the skim milk. I purchased two big lemons and used all the zest from each of them. I liked the cookies, although I thought 2 tablespoons of dough was too much for a cookie. My first two cookie sheets had only 12 cookies each. I made the rest of the cookies smaller and liked that better. Two cups of sugar seems excessive and I would like to try these with less sugar. I loved the glaze. While I like these cookies, I don't think this will be a recipe I will make often - more for special occasions. I am glad I finally got around to making them.

Well worth the effort. Very good flavor and the topping is a must! Reminds me of the archway lemon cookies when I was a kid! Not sure how someone could waste 10 lemons but oh well. You have to follow the recipe, it is exactly like described and I'm a rookie making the cookie!

These cookies were rated the BEST cookies at the cookie party saturday night.. everyone loved them, I gave a recipe to each person also.. they're cake like, not so sweet, very lemony, just plain "good".. I figured everyone would come with some sort of chocolate cookie, so... went looking and Giada's recipe sounded like the best.. and it was!!!

These cookies are DELICIOUS!!! Very different but siple at the same time. The have a moist cake like texture to them but not your typical sweet cookie. I make 1/2 with the glaze and 1/2 without glaze, delicious both ways!:
