These cookies are so good they're totally addicting. Everyone I've given them to so far has asked for the recipe. I love the texture and that lemon flavor is so awesome! The hardest part was zesting the lemon. I made some with sliced almonds on top too and they were just fabulous. Really refreshing for the holidays or would make an excellent poolside snack in the summer. They have a firm cake like texture with a crisp to it. I'm going to make them a little smaller next time (easier to store and sneak

This recipe is a hit with my friends. I made half of the batter with a small scoop for mini cookies and baked them for about 10 minutes. This size was preferred over the regular size and makes about 60 cookies. I also make a lime version with the same favorable response. Definitely the go to cookie for me!

I tried this recipe because of the 5 star review and I'm searching for a lemon cookie recipe. It was good but not what I was looking for. I followed the recipe exactly. The dough was wet, sticky, and it was not easy to work with. I used a cookie scoop so the cookies looked somewhat uniform when they were done. Still, the look of the cookies was not consistent because the dough is so wet. Texture of the cookie is very cake like. It's true that this cookie will appeal to adults rather than children as it's not too sweet. My little one didn't like it. Without the glaze, the taste was rather bland. With the glaze, it was very good. I will not be making this again but it was worth a try.

DELICIOUS! I made these for our local library fundraiser because they looked easy and now will have to make them for the holidays too. My husband, the cookie aficionado gave them a 3 thumbs up! I did have to make one small change, had no ricotta so used farmer's cheese instead

Love lemon, love ricotta. Had extra ricotta on hand so I thought I'd give this recipe a try. Flavor was fine but I am not a fan of cake-y cookies. Will not make these again. Maybe the batter with a little added milk would make a delicious stack of pancakes.

I have made this recipe three times now. I really like them but they aren't sweet like sugar cookies. The first time I made them with three of my grandchildren who are 9, 10, and 11-all girls. None of them would finish even one cookie and all said they didn't like it. I think it appeals more to adult tastes. I really like them. I freeze them in freezer bags and eat one or two a day as my treat. I am not a great cook but this seemed fairly easy to do. I usually got about 48 cookies per the recipe.
