I made these to take for work around Christmas time, apparently they were delicious because I was told they were all gone fast. Great lemon flavor and soft as a cloud. And the best part, super easy to make. Make them!!

This cooky was not so great, and I followed directions perfectly. Dense, and not very flavorful, even with all that lemon juice and lemon zest.

A ten from my husband, a rarity. The cookies were really good without the icing. But when I made the icing OMG they were awesome. He even said I could bring these to someone's house as a gift, something I don't hear often. Yes I made these just for us 44 cookies for two people. 22 for each of us believe me they won't last long.

I made these for a reception at church. I can't tell you how many ladies asked for this recipe. It looks like such a simple, plain cookie until you take a bite--then wow if you like lemony cookies, then wow! Your taste buds are in for a real treat. Do not be intimidated by the 2+ hours in prep time. Most of that time is spent waiting for the glaze to dry. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this cookie. I wonder what it would taste like substituting orange for the lemon.

Easy cheesey recipe!
I substituted all purpose flour using oat flour and a 1/2 teaspoon of xanthan gum to make these gluten-free(g-f. Yummy.... Still cake like texture and moist.
Thank you Giada - I love making your recipes.

This recipe is very easy. And the cookies are awesome! I served them at a gathering, and everybody asked for the recipe. I don't think any changes are necessary. I liked them because they're a little cake-y, not crispy. If you love lemons, you'll love these cookies!

These are great cookies. The lemon flavor is wonderful. I've made them twice now and both times a hit. In fact, the second time- I had a little bit of ricotta and used cottage cheese to complete that ingredient. They came out tasty! Brava to Giada!
