When I made these cookies for the first time I wasn't sure about them because of the ingredients. My family loved them! Now every year at the holidays they put in a request for these lemon cookies. Thanks Giada!

I've done this cookies for a carring package for my daughter at college. I just fell inlove with them. They are soft and lemony, different and special, sweet but not too much, easy to make I just love them. I made them again and still inlove with them and not only me, everibody who tasted asked for the recipe. I love some of Giada's recope and definetely this is my favourite

That is what my husband exclaimed after I made these for him! They were also a favorite of a friend who is a cookie fanatic! Followed the recipe just as written and these cookies are just fantastic. The flavor of the cookie and glaze were perfect.

Wow, the cookies turned out exactly as depicted and they were wonderfully light and lemony. My only wish is to find a way to brown them up just a little. Does any know if brushing melted butter during the last five or ten minutes would achieve this? But I will make then again regardless.

I made a half batch of these cookies and they were amazing. I did make one modification, I whirled the zest with the sugar and butter in the mixing bowl. I think it helped increase the lemon flavor. Also, be sure to use the freshest lemons you can find and only zest the yellow skin, not the bitter white pith beneath.

I made two bathces thinking these would come out perfect and after reading all the positive comments. I would say that I am an experienced baker... I followed the recipe to a tee and they turned out very flat and not very flavorful. I thought that icing them with the lemon glaze would help.. but it didnt. I had planned on taking them to a baby shower.. but ended up throwing them away. I was surprised as I normally love all of Giada's recipes.. but this one didnt make the cut.

I expected this to taste great. I was very disappointed.

This cookie is way too sweet and does not have the flavor of lemon ricotta in my opinion.. It tastes more like a cake like sugar cookie.. Wish I hadn't wasted my time or ingredients on this cookie....... Was going to serve it for the holidays.. NOT NOW!

The cookie itself could use a little more taste but the glaze is amazing.
If I make these again, I would use the zest of 2 lemons in the dough. My son who is not into sweets at all loved them.

These turned out great!! I love the flavor of the glaze over the cake-like cookie. I halved the recipe and they were delicious.
