Hi my husband too is a lemon lover! Made these many times and did not use parchment paper but aluminum foil and they browned nicely on bottoms and edges. With foil did not have to leave them on the cookie sheet for 20 minutes after baking as too hard to get off 5 minutes did the trick. They really do go quickly... great burst of flavor!

I made these cookies for my Bible Study group and it was a big hit!! Everyone loved them and requested that I make them again. I did cook the cookies a bit longer than the recipe called for until slightly brown (20-25mins, depending on your oven. The following day the cookies were a bit softer than the previous day. I took the lid off the cookie jar and that helped maintain the texture.

I love lemon - these are so good, I can't believe I made them myself! A big hit over the holidays, making more tonight for myself :

I agree with other reviewers that the cookies tend to get soggy after sitting. Also, the last batches of cookies tended to spread and flatten out more than the first batches which were nice and 'puffy'. But they have a nice light lemon flavor and the icing is great.

these are the best! already making a second batch ... did let them cook a bit longer (22 min so the bottoms were a bit browner ... used another reviewers tip about canned frosting as at the last minute I discovered we were out of 10x but had a can of lemon frosting! worked just fine

Awesome, very fresh and citrus flavored. The only thing is they came out a little soft on the bottom? But very very tasty!

Make sure not to use too much lemon juice because then they'll be too sticky and soft.

Great cookies. Easy to make. Love them!

Loved these cookies. I put them in the frig after cooling because I didn't want the icing to melt (live in the south. It's day 4 and only 1 left after sharing with family and friends.
The next time I make them my husband doesn't want to share.

I liked these cookies very much. They were light and lemony, just like I hoped. The only thing I did not like was the glaze, but I think I had old powdered sugar- it had a funny taste. I will make them again with fresh powdered sugar and I'm sure they will be even better!
