I have fresh thyme in my garden and, since it is getting close to the time when the frost will kill the thyme, I decided to make these. They are unusual, that's for sure. I love tart things and these were tart! However, it took forever to mince the 2 tablespoons of thyme. Mine didn't look like the photo at all. The glaze was very thin as was the bars themselves. I don't know if I'll make them again!

These are so delicious! I made them a few days ago looking for an easy treat to make. This was so easy to make and didn't even take long in the oven. I made this without the glaze but it was still so decadent. I like the fact that they're not too sweet and this is the perfect little cake to have with a cup of tea. As soon as I opened the oven, the thyme gave it this irresistible smell and such a buttery flavor. The texture of these bars is so unique and. This is sure to make a delectable, flavorful, healthy treat!

A friend brought these to an ice cream social and I found them to die for. I could have eaten the whole pan. I balked when she said they had thyme in them but tried one anyway; glad I did. I think this is my new favorite bar.

A refreshing twist on lemon bars. When you make these, keep in mind they're more of a shortbread with a lemon glaze. They don't have the same texture as a lemon bar. We all loved it!

I found this gem of a recipe as I was googling to try and find a way to use the Lemon Thyme that I have growing in my garden. The only thing that went wrong for me was the mysterious absence of my 8 x 8 glass pan (after the batter was made, of course.... I baked in a springform cake pan and made Lemon Wedges rather than bars....
I used about 1 1/2 Tbsps of finely ground fresh Lemon Thyme..... I could have used more... These are absolutely to die for delicious.... I also added an extra 2 Tbsps of Powdered Sugar to the glaze mixture as was recommended and it set up perfectly in 1 hour. Absolutely brilliant recipe!!!!! The only thing I can think that the folks are doing differently who do not like this recipe, is perhaps using dried ground thyme???? Enjoy, and bake with no fear!!!!!

The recipe calls for 8x8 pan; i always use 9x13, so I 1-1/2'd it. Also, be sure to brown the top, or it looks too white. i made it for a baby shower; it was everyone's favorite dessert among many others. fresh, tart, & thyme cuts that to savory

These are a nice alternative to lemon bars I've made in the past. My children love them. Very unique spring treat!

I thought these were really good! Made them for Easter dessert. I didn't deviate from the recipe, though I completely forgot to chop up the thyme (a must. I didn't feel as though the thyme was too much; it gave just enough of a hint of it to provide an added dimension of flavor. I'd definitely make these again.
