I didn't think that I really liked lentils. But this recipe has so much flavor and is really good. I love the kalamata olives it really gives it that kick. Definitely a great dish.

Very good. Some work involved, but worth it. Will make again.

This was much better than I expected. I love how healthy it is, and the flavor is excellent. I substituted basmati rice (prefer the taste and forgot to buy olives, which would have enhanced the flavor even more. We ate it with yogurt on the side, and it was filling enough for a meal. I will be making this quite frequently.

The salad was dry and lacked enough flavor to support the mixture of lentil and rice. Bland.

for those that like lots of complex flavor as I do. Ok, some people like things more seasoned, some less. That's why we post our opinions on here so stop bashing each other.

This was an easy dish to prepare. I,like another reviewer, added a little lemon juice to the recipe. One reviewer thought that the olive flavor was a little strong. Here's an idea... cut down on the olives! That simple. This dish is a great light meal for summer and an even better side dish all year long. Go Giada!

I am confused as to how in the world people figured this dish has little taste and was bad. I think this dish was really pretty looking. It had an exotic, fresh, and healthy taste to it. It was such a nice twist to rice and lentils.
I put a little lemon juice in it along with the lemon zest. I also used a extra long Basmati rice, which I boiled until tender. Don't cook it like regular rice. We love persian food so we have a HUGE sack of that rice on had. I prefer to use that. I got mine at a speciality store that has Iranian and general middle eastern foods.
Great stuff. I loved it.
