    I don't necessarily like lentils so I never have them on hand. I actually substituted a can of Pinto and a can of Black beans (drained because I always have those on hand and it was wonderful! This one is a keeper for my family!

    I served this to 3 other adults with a roasted chicken and a side salad. Everyone loved it. That being said, they were food-lovers and more the typ to enjoy lentils.

    The two children wouldn't touch it :(

    Overall, I couldn't believe how flavorful this dish was. It would have been even better if I had fresh Kalamata olives.

    If you chintz and use spanish black olives or dried herbs, you will not get the right dish. As well, watch your lentils so they don't get mushy. 15 mins was definitely too short on cookings, but I didn't keep track of how long I did cook them.

    I served it to a group of six adults and none of them were impressed. It was bland, even though I followed directions exactly. I ended up putting some more seasonings but still found it to be lacking. I have loved her other recipes, but this one is not as satisfying.

    Very tasty salad, but needs work on the "eye" appeal....it just looks bland. Couldn't get my family to try it.

    This salad is great for the summertime! I made already sevral times for my family and it tastes better each time that I make. It is a healthy choice of food and it can be served with some chicken and beef. It is delicious!

    This salad is so refreshing, unique and delicious. I made it mostly with items out of my pantry and it tasted so fresh!! Makes alot, so be prepared to freeze some, but its so good!!!

    I made this recipe for my family and they were not impressed. I make a recipe from Giada almost 4 times a week for dinner but this one was not as good. It lacked flavor and I seasoned like crazy. I will try it again sometime just to be sure... but definetly not one of our favorites.

    This dish was just wonderful! I made the rice the day before, since I had made rice pudding for my son, and so it was easy to combine the lentil mixture with the cold rice. We really liked it even better when it sat for a while in the refrigerator. A great make-ahead dish that is perfect! Thank you, Giada!
