Fixed this on a cold rainy day and it hit the spot. Extremely easy and most ingredients I already had on hand. My husband loved it even with the rosemary (he's not a big herb fan. I cut down on the lentils and only used approx. 1C ..there were still plenty. The meat was very tender after the recommended cooking time. It just gets better as it sits in the refrigerator so leftovers are no problem. I will definitely make this one again! Great flavor!

I have made this soup I think, five times in the last couple months. It's wonderful. Personally I like to cook the meat a little longer in the soup water than she suggests but it's still really good.
Also, makes a great baby food if you don't add the tomatoes(in that case, use chichen broth instead of beef broth for a lighter taste my little one goes nuts for it.

Wonderful on a cold day. A few too many lentils for me, but easy enough to adjust.

This was a simple to cook soup that feed my husband and I for 3 days! It was great with a little cheese grated over the top. I will make it again and again!

This is my new favorite lentil soup recipe. I would consider it pretty fail-proof, its just a matter of chopping and throwing stuff into a pot. I cooked it an extra 20 minutes to make the lentils more tender and it makes it more like a stew than a soup. I like to eat it on top of plain brown rice.
