Great taste, easy to make, friends are now making it. I'm also making it in other citrus flavors for holiday giving. Many thanks for this recipe.

I put it in the freezer and it froze. I am used to buying it in Italy and putting it in the freezer.
I thawed it out and it is not as thick as the one in Italy. Had a bitter taste. I used high quality lemons.

I will make this again but cut back on the sugar. I should have read the reviews before making. I kept it in the freezer and it cut back on some of the sweetness.

The limoncello was refreshing and the perfect balance of citrus and sweet. This will definately be a summer tradition for my husband and I.

Thank you Giada, for another great recipe! I made a double batch so I could share with family and friends.
I found it very easy to peel the lemons with a peeler, I had no white pith at all.
    Thanks again!

I made this recipe to serve at our gourmet club's Italian dinner, and it was just perfect, and well received by everyone! I did take the advice of other reviewers, and reduced the amount of sugar by half cup to just 3 cups (instead of 3 1/2 I also added 3 or 4 sprigs of fresh lavendar to the lemon/vodka mix while it steeped for 4 days. I used Ketel One vodka. After steeping for 4 days, and adding the simple syrup, we let it ripen in the fridge for a week before consuming. I chose this recipe over some of the other limoncello recipes because most of them required a one month waiting period, and I didn't have that long before I needed it. You won't be disappointed, this is really delicious!

When I first saw this recipe, I was excited about making it. It was a bit diffucult when I first started peeling, but its worth it! Im not going to lie and say that I got reviews from my relatives saying that it was a too sweet. I took it as a positive critisism. I liked it and guess what? I drank half a bottle that night and boy was I buzzing! But this is really interesting, after I let it sit in the fridge for about a month, I celebrated my birhtday with friends and family. We all took a shot of Limoncello and it was not sweet anymore. The sweetness of it had subsided. It was like maturing overnight. I don't know how that happened, but it was awesome and everyone loved it, even my siblings. Thanks Giada for this awsome recipe!!!

My Italian friends relatives LOVED this Limoncello recipe so much that I had to immediately write it down so all of them could go home and make it for themselves. Great in hot tea, iced tea, over ice cream and just by itself.

this recipe for limoncello is the closest one I have found that actually tastes like the one I had on the amalfi coast. It is easy to follow and tastes great.
