I really enjoyed making this. My family loved this. I love shallots and never thought of using them in red sauce. I was on that dreaded day where there is next to nothing in the pantry or fridge. So, I changed minor things. I used jar sauce, water instead of wine and angel hair because it's all I had. This was a great and fast way to jazz up jar sauce.

I cheated and used rotisserie chicken --both white & dark meat --and shredded it. I added it to the sauteed shallots, extra garlic & rosemary fresh from the garden. As it simmered I did also keep adding chicken stock to loosen up the sauce. I also used whole grain spaghetti, but only about 10 oz; I think if I used more pasta there wouldn't be enough sauce. DH also loved it...and we both think Giada's cleavage is fantastic!

The recipe was easy to prepare (took about 30 min. to prep the ingredients and another 30 to cook--not an hour and a half like the recipe says. I used all fresh ingredients, but cheated with the marinara and did store-bought there. It came out great. Very light, lots of flavor (love the white wine and rosemary. Everything comes together well--no need to adjust the recipe, although it would be a fun one to play with!

So this is what I do, I follow her recipe to a tee, but then when you are suppose to add the marinara (recipe follows I use a jar of Barilla. It is so so good.
