    I used fontina but only 1 cup and used more mozarella to make sure this is affordable. I made it with gluten free pasta and one with elbow macaroni. They turned out really good. I reduce the milk just by 1/2 cup and they are not soupy at all! This is the best mac and cheese!

    I made this for a party and while all my guests liked it, I thought it wasn't cheesy enough considering the fact that it is mac and cheese

    This is my favorite mac and cheese EVER. My mom has been making this recipe for years and years. My dad isn't a big mac and cheese lover so we only have this once in a while when we are really in the mood for it. Whenever we do make it, it's like nothing else I've ever had in a mac and cheese. I don't even know the words to explain it. HAHA. She has never put Fontina cheese in it but even without it, it's the best thing ever. I have taken over most of the cooking now in the house and I can't wait until we make this next time. It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

    Fantastic! Was a huge hit from the 5 year old to the 15 year old as well as the adults. We added peas along with the diced ham. The liquid base is a bit runny, but don't let that fool you... it is full of flavor and cheesy goodness.

    wow...I had no leftovers, and my guests couldn't stop raving about it. I baked it longer than 20 minutes because it wasn't brown on top, it still had a good amount of liquid when I took it out of the oven but the liquid turned into a nice sauce within 30 minutes. I will definitely be making this again!
