This recipe is delicious! I have made it a few times and the first time I made it exactly as stated but had some issues with the soupy texture and the parmesan clumping instead of blending with the rest of the dish but it ended up working out when it cooled. The next time I made this, and every time since, I have substituted the parmesan with jarlsburg swiss, I substituted rotini for the egg noodles and have added a rotisserie chicken (shredded of course and some slightly steamed broccoli florets. If you add the chicken and broccoli I suggest also adding about a 1/2 c of whole milk since it tends to absorb a little more liquid.

Just fabulous. I made my own homemade fettuccine noodles for this recipe and it was so light and so smooth. Very easy to make and excellent flavors. My friends just loved it. I did not use ham. Will definitely make this again . Is great as either a side dish or a main course.

I made this for my family and it was really good. The only thing i did notice that it was really salty, not sure if it was from the parmesan cheese and the ham together. Next time i think I will cut back on the cheese a little. But this is a great recipe!

This is just too good! It's a simple recipe, that has become a Thankgiving staple for my family, except we leave out the ham and top it with BACON. (My son and I call it Fontina Mac.
Can't wait for it this year....my mouth is starting to water, just thinking about it. Thanks, Giada!!!

It tastes like a baked alfedo, not mac and cheese. It was ok but really not all that good. Defiantly would not make this again.

This came out so well! I LOVE macaroni and cheese and have tried a ton of recipes, and this is by far my favorite. Going to make it again this weekend.
