We loved the way the fish was prepared. The sauce was way too sweet. It seemed more like an ice cream sauce. If you don't like fish and want to only taste a sauce you will like it. If you do like fish stay away from the sauce.

I saw this recipe the other day on TV and couldn't get it off my mind. We made it tonight and were completely wowed, especially since we don't typically eat fish. It felt totally gourmet yet fairly simple given the finished appearance! Loved using a real vanilla bean. This recipe is a keeper!

This recipe is incredibly delicious! I have made it twice already and it turned out perfectly. I'm making this tonight for my son's birthday dinner and I can already taste it in my mind. It's one of those dishes that make you feel like you're dining in a very fine restaurant near the ocean somewhere. The flavors blend beautifully and for us, the first time we tasted it, was like discovering a brand new flavor that our palates had not yet experienced. Thank you for a wonderful recipe, Giada.

OMG! is all I can say about this recipe was delicious and my family absolutely loved it. I used a regular vanilla bean and the sauce was just perfect. This will be a regular in our house for dinner.

Delicious! I used cod instead of mahi-mahi. And I used half a teaspoon vanilla extract instead of the bean. The coulis came out great, a slight spiciness from the ginger & subtle sweetness from the mango. I served alongside haricot verts green beans.

My first time making Mahi-Mahi, I substituted the vanilla bean with vanilla extract and the ginger root with ground ginger. Other than that, I used everything exactly how the recipe called for. I found that the sauce was way too peppery and you couldn't really taste the mango. Overall it was a tasty dish.

It was a refreshing change! However, I either didn't use enough Mango or too much OJ. It still tasted great.

I did not have any fish on hand, so I used chicken. I made the mango-vanilla coulis and it was alright. Thought it would be better. Looked better on TV!

This recipe combined two of my favorite foods -- mangos and fish -- and we absolutely loved it. I'm not a huge fan of ginger, so I only used a one inch piece, and it was plenty for our taste buds. Now if I can just get my husband to take me to Bora Bora to try some of the other island flavors!

Had this for dinner last night and it was a big hit. We love Hawaii and this reminded us of a dinner we would have there.
