Giada's my favorite food network star. I can never go wrong when I cook something of her's. I did puree the vegetable though because growing up italian there were no carrots in my mother's sauce so I thought this was odd. My picky boys would not have touched this chunky. You have to use a top quality evoo. This sauce was delicious and is requested over and over.

This is from her Everyday Italian cookbook. When I first read the recipe, it sounded too easy to taste good. Boy was I wrong! I served this to friends and everyone loved it. I think it has a wonderful mild flavor, which is what marinara should taste like (not the sugary stuff you buy in a jar. I did have to simmer it a little longer to get it nice and thick. I was able to freeze it in 1 cup portions and even months later, it was great! You can add meats, spices, cheeses, whatever you want (although again, I think it tastes perfect without additions! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

I make this sauce in large batches and then freeze it in small containers. It's so simple to make and I can use it for a variety of different meals. It is definately a 'staple' in my freezer!

This recipe was wonderful and easy to make. My whole family loves it, which says a lot with 3 picky eaters. I've used it in Spaghetti and Lasagna, and I added a little oregano, basil, and parsley while reheating the sauce. It's wonderful & thick, just the way I like it.

this is a great sauce for sausage, peppers and onions, as a dip for breads or fried mozzarella, or to use in a lasagna. I'll never go back to the jar!

Easy, delicious, and best of all, the extra sauce freezes really well! Great for those who cook for one (me because I can freeze individual portions and use them as I need them. A fresh-tasting, delicious meal in minutes!

This the first time I have ever made a marinara sauce and I loved it! It was so easy to make. Will make it again. Thanks!
