I was skeptical about adding in carrots and celery, but honestly, this was phenomenal. I pureed mine in the blender and you would never know this once contained carrots. This is a great sauce to use as a template to build upon.

Always thought you had to cook sauce for hours and hours to make it "authentic." This sauce is easy, cooks up fast, and stores in the fridge up to a week until you are ready for it for various recipes!! Rave reviews from the family!!

Instead of chopping I ran all the ingredients thru the food processor. Don't know if that is what made the consistency think, but who cares. The flavor of this is perfection. I sliced some mozzarella..made prosciutto sandwiches (if you will and topped with this sauce. What a great appetizer! I cannot wait to try this on other dishes.

This was kind of wierdly sweet for my taste. I prefer a bit more zip. It was easy to make and freeze though. Very convenient to keep 1 and 2 cup portions available in the freezer. I used an immersion blender to make it easier to smooth out the texture.

Wow! This is REALLY tasty ! I have never made my own marinara before so I do not have much to compare this to except for the Jar stuff. I cannot go back to the JAR! This is so tasty and so very easy and takes no time.

I thought this was a simple and very good marinara sauce that can easily be adjusted to work with any pasta dish. You can add herbs, ground beef, italian sausage, capers or whatever you like to enhance the flavor. I liked the richness that came from the vegetables, although I would use only 1 carrot the next time I make the dish.

Since I am not fond of bits of tomato and vegetables in my sauce, I pureed it in my blender. I ended up with a rich, thick sauce. Delicious ..
