Excellent...we will be making this a regular meal in our house. I used mahi mahi and it worked very well.

I have made this recipe many times now, it is a great favorite of my family. I substitute cod filets for the halibut, since I can get cod easily, it tastes great, works in this recipe, and is $7.99 per pound vs. $28.00 per pound for halibut. (Assuming I can even find halibut. Often leave out the capers, doesn't change a thing for our taste!!!

Loved this sandwich! I followed the recipe exactly and only wish it would have included a note to rinse the capers. The recipe says to drain them, but doesn't mention rinsing them. I forgot and the briney taste overpowered the delicate fish. Next time I will rinse them well or leave them out altogether.

Wonderful summer sandwich flavors. Big hit with my husband who doesn't think halibut has enough flavor. But I agree with other reviewers and plan to substitute a less expensive fish next time.

This sandwich is amazing! My husband and I love it for dinner on a hot summer evening. The flavors are bright and fresh. We used some of our lemon basil out of our herb garden instead of the sweet basil. The lemon basil is a great addition.

It had to be the greatest halibut recipe I have cooked in a long time. My husband even liked it so it is a saver.

    LOVE this recipe.
I made this with tilapia instead of halibut to save money. It's still crazy delicious. One of my favorite sandwiches ever. I also like it with spinach instead of arugula, which can be harder to find for me. I had to search around for sundried tomatoes, too, but they're worth it.

My two young boys are so picky! They saw this episode and saw that Giada's young daughter was eating the sandwich, so they were willing to try it. My oldest replaced hot dogs with this sandwich as his favorite dish! Bravo! I made it with Mahi Mahi, since Halibut was no where to be found in the stores. This was fantastic!

I used cod since halibut is almost impossible to get in New England, and it was still amazing. The basil and dried tomatoes went well together. The flavors were bursting out of your mouth. My7 3 year old even like it.

Giada never lets me down with her recipes! Halibut was expensive but these sandwiches tasted amazing. I loved the lemon zest and even used a little extra. I will definitely make this again but might try using a less expensive fish.
